Hi,
I'm a bit of a noob - trying to log on to try out the new features but getting 'Incompatible (version)'. I went to the Patches page but can't find the latest patch - how do I install it ?

So - am I right in thinking that 'extended' downtime means 'longer than we say its going to be' ?

The manual patch worked fine for me but now "The cluster is not currently accepting connections".
I'm going to ask my bank to send them the same message when they come asking for the next payment !

Errm - but they do. They see into the future and say its going to be 13:30. And they're wrong. So they have another go and say 14:30. And they're wrong again. So they have another go and say 15:00. Etc ad infinitum. If they didn't try and predict the time it's coming back up, that would actually be better. They should say its unavailable all day and that that months fees would be amended pro rata and have done with it.
The waiting wouldn't be so bad if the Japan - Paraguay game wasn't proving to be a damp squib too. I blame CCP for that too.

I reckon the servers will be back up before either Japan or Paraguay find out where the goal is.
BTW according to my sources the delay is being caused by an unexpected spike in the volume of traffic on the whingers forum.

The only acceptable compensation for the lost gametime is a pro rata reduction in the monthly fee for this month.
This would also have the effect of focussing CCP's attention on the issue, as the delays would directly impact their bottom line. I can bet you that if that was implemented, we would magically see a massive improvement in the accuracy of future DT estimates, regardless of what the apologists keep saying about how difficult it is.
